A new category entitled "Proto-Prog and Prog-Related lounge" has been created. All discussion (music and non-music related) about bands listed on the site who are classified as being in either of these categories should take place in this section. Existing threads on these bands will be gradually moved to the new section. This will allow the prog music lounge to be used exclusively for discussing prog bands listed on the site. The "Bands and albums" section has been renamed "Suggest Bands and Albums" to make its purpose a bit clearer. |

Easy Livin, what can be done to reclassify a band? I started a thread about the mistake in classifying Ulver, and all the people in the thread who expressed their point of view agreed with me. I'm not sure how useful it will be to have a Proto/Related section on the site, but it's good that we will no longer have to find a good topic among the "Beatles complaint" ones. Good idea. -- Ivan |

I understand that the progmetal specialists (Mike, Bryan, Tristan and Jody) agreed that Ulver was misplaced and had agreed to move into another genre (from what I know, this was a correct assumption too) All they have to do is ask Joren or WiguJimbo to do the change Edited by Sean Trane |

let's just stay above the moral melee
prefer the sink to the gutter keep our sand-castle virtues content to be a doer as well as a thinker, prefer lifting our pen rather than un-sheath our sword |

I would say The Nice are a prog band without question. Surely Five Bridges is prog? Get to it Snowy! |
