Yes - Tales from Topographic Oceans. It is a lengthy, difficult listen; I didn't really get into it at first, but I love it now.

Univers Zero - Heresie...

It's quite interesting my experience with this particular album... i was chocked at first, at the same time I really enjoyed, but I (of course) don't get it at first "glance"... that's quite impossoble with such a great-terrific-etc album. This appeal to a great quantity of RIO/Zeuhl/etc stuff at the begining of my journey on this obscure world.

VDGG - H To He, Who Am The Only One

This album was the key to understand and get into VDGG's world. it took me around 5 -7 listenings.

It doesn't deserves much more. Fragile is better IMO and deserves 4.5 stars.

TMV's Frances The Mute- The lyrics are just as impossible as they were on De-Loused... but the music took longer to grow on me as well but its a good album.

Yes's Close To The Edge is one that is growing more on me, but i still woulnt give it more than 3 .

I got a question for yers.

 

What albums (maybe songs also) did you find were "growers", you know, the ones that made absolutely no sense at all on the first, second, third, fourth and maybe more listens but then all of a sudden it all began too make sense and now they are your absolute favorite.  What happened?  Why did you keep going back to it?  How many listens did it take?  How often do you play them now?

I always find these albums to be the most satisfying musically and they tend to have the most longevity.

A few off the top of my head;

 

Yes- Relayer

Pink Floyd - (parts of) The Wall

Jethro Tull - Thick as a Brick

Tangerine Dream - Pheadra
