There's an obscure link to be found between King Crimson and Erik Von Daniken. What bright spark can point it out?

I can only think of two: the first is kinda obvious (there was a prog-ish band called Van Daniken made up of ex- Haze members) and the second is WAY too obscure...they're both represented in items in the bedroom of one of the characters from the awesome Linklater film "Dazed and Confused".

Don't tell me there's another connection?

Would the answer be Bill Bruford? i know that he was in a 'project' called Absolute Elsewhere who recorded an album called In Search of Ancient Gods in 1976-'77ish based on the von Daniken books?
I bought my copy in a newsagents in The Barbican in London! If I remember correctly it wasn't very good.

You got it, Man Erg! Sorry for the delay in confirming that, I'd forgotten all about this thread. I wasn't too impressed by the album at first, but after repeated listens I like about 2/3 of it - there's a longer more 'proggy' track which is pretty good, and some spacey synth music which is pretty good though nothing that stands out. The rest I remember as sort of dodgy AOR, though I haven't listened to the whole thing in a while... [I've put the best tracks on to CD so I usually just listen to that].

James, can you tell me more about that band with ex-Haze members? Is that Haze, the early 70's German band?
