"ZEIT" album...it's not at all ambiant music, too weird and experimental long epic suites to be ranged under this label. The term "Ambiant" is originally reserved to artists such as Robert Rich, Harold Budd, Steve Roach and Brian Eno.

I am having a tough time finding some of this stuff, such as Terje Rypdal.  I know I will never find that in stores around here. so is there a good d/l program?  I already have soulseek.

Yes,you can. I just checked and they have "After The Rain" and lots of other Rypdals, but I must point out that "After..." is one of a kind,he's never really done anything else that resembles it,so be cautious about the rest of his albums.

Although,"Odyssey" is another good one from the 70's,made the year before "After...". If you're not averse to long improvisational, jazzy instrumentals you might just like "Odyssey".

I just got Nosferatu by Popol Vuh and liked it a lot.  Very chill and I like the use of the Indian guitar.  Any other bands you guys know of that uses the Indian guitar?  Cause I like this album.

Well , (ex-Dream Theater keyboard player) Kevin Moore´s band, CHROMA KEY, is kinda chill out stuff. Slow rock, actually. I like album " You go now" very much.

Ok, I forgot it´s not instrumental music...

How about Ozric Tentacles?

You have to be rather selective with Rypdal catalogue of releases. I much prefer his jazz rock and experimental jazz material, when he would astound sounding a cross between Jimi Hendrix and Hank Marvin (e.g. The Singles Collection). Then his collaboration with former Weather Report bassist Miroslav Vitous and Miles Davis's drummer Jack De Johnette To Be Continued, is a great example of electric jazz.

Of other Norwegian musicians: many of Jan Garabek records of the last decade could fit the bill. And Bugge Wesseltoft's New Conceptions of Jazz , with a great take on drum'n'bass again might appeal.
