I have already started posting a bit, but I thought I'd take a minute to post here.

My name is Chris, I live in Las Vegas, and I am close to being 17 years old. I have been poking aroudn this site for a few months now, and I finally decided to join. I have been listening to progressive music for a couple years now, though my tastes expand to other music too.

A list of my favorite music is as follows: Abydos, AFI, Alkaline Trio, Allan Holdsworth, Andrew Bird, Animal Collective, At the Drive-In, Ayreon, Banco Del Mutuo Soccorso, The Beatles, Between the Buried and Me, Brand X, Brazil, Broken Social Scene, Cairo, California Guitar Trio, Camel, Cave In, Chick Corea, Chroma Key, Circa Survive, Codeseven, Coheed and Cambria, Coldplay, Converge, Cult of Luna, The Cure, Cursive, Dali's Dilemma, Dave Matthews Band, Dave Weckl, De Facto, Death Cab for Cutie, The Decemberists, The Dillinger Escape Plan, The Dismemberment Plan, Do Make Say Think, Dream Theater, Dredg, Eloy, Envy, Ephel Duath, Explorers Club, Explosions in the Sky, Finch, The Fire Theft, Five Iron Frenzy, The Flaming Lips, The Flower Kings, The Gathering, Genesis, Gentle Giant, The Get Up Kids, The Gloria Record, Godspeed You Black Empreror, Gong, Hatfield and the North, Ice Age, Into Eternity, IQ, Iron & Wine, Isis, Jethro Tull, John Mclaughlin, John Petrucci, Jordan Rudess, Kansas, Karate, Katatonia, King Crimson, Labradford, Le Orme, Led Zeppelin, Liquid Tension Experiment, Locanda Delle Fate, Magellan, Mahavishnu Orchestra, Marillion, The Mars Volta, Mastodon, Matching Mole, McClurg Family Singers, Meshuggah, Minus the Bear, Modest Mouse, Mogwai, Morrissey, Muse, Neal Morse, Nektar, Neutral Milk Hotel, Niacin, Nick Drake, Nightwish, Omar Rodriguez-Lopez, Opeth, Paatos, Pain of Salvation, Pat Metheny, Pedro the Lion, Pelican, PFM, Picchio Dal Pozzo, Pink Floyd, Planet X, Porcupine Tree, Queen, Queens of the Stone Age, Rachel's, Radiohead, Return to Forever, Robert Wyatt, Roine Stolt, Rush, RX Bandits, Shadow Gallery, Sigur Ros, Sikth, A Silver Mt. Zion, The Smiths, The Soft Machine, The Sound of Animals Fighting, Sparta, Spock's Beard, Spyro Gyra, Sufjan Stevens, Symphony X, The Tangent, Ted Leo & the Pharmacists, Therion, Thrice, Thursday, Tiles, Tony MacAlpine, Tool, Tortoise, Transatlantic, The Velvet Teen, Weather Report, Yes.

I play guitar, drums, and a little bass. I am working on forming a progressive group, but it's unfortunately difficult to find musicians capable and/or willing to play this type of music, especially at this age.

if you only lived in argentina... I am looking for an able musician as well... I am a singer, and am interested in the keyboards but have not decided to give them a try... everybody tells me that would be seriously stupid, as good pianists start young un their practices... but well, I am only 17! I like to write and compose as well...

and hey, what a broad-minded person... did you leave any band out?!

no, its great, seriously...

Why are we never too sure till we die or have killed for an answer...
