it's a good album...the best of Roger...but it wouldn't be one of the best of Pink Floyd...Don Henley appears on Watching TV!!!!!

Really emotional stuff with a great variety or tracks from rock to slower more ballady stuff. Similar to Floyd but not as good

No...its a very different feel than all the floyd masterpieces. I don't think people would have reguarded it so highly (look at the response The final cut got. If waters would have made another one like it [which there are similarities] i think some people would have dismissed it.)

With that said, it is a very good album nonetheless.

Amused to death is for me the best Waters`solo album...

the music and the feelings and the concept... are good... but not as good as Pink Floyd classic albums

I actually agree with the originator of this thread! The emotions in this album are first class. I would have much preferred this album to have been Floyd than the 'new age' meanderings of the Division Bell and Momentary Lapse Of Reason. Even Bob Ezrin couldn't save those two dire albums! Amused To Death was the evidence needed  that Waters was indeed the creative force in Pink Floyd.

Amused to Death ? Your talking bollocks mate.

It's a good album & Jeff Beck plays fantastic on it but better than any Floyd albums........not a chance.

I don't agree with you. Even Amused To Death is a good album, it is not a masterpiece like Wish You Were Here or The Dark Side Of The Moon. Whenever Roger Waters does a solo work or dominate Pink Floyd musically like The Wall and The Final Cut, even the idea and lyrics are creative, emotional and good, musicianship going worse. Just listen The Wall, The Final Cut, Pros & Cons, you'll hear the same tunes everywhere. I don't mean that I don't like Roger Waters Works, but they are not masterpieces, just good works. In addition to, if Mr. Waters did not try to dominate Pink Floyd or see himself as Mr. Pink Floyd, Pink Floyd would still be alive and Rick Wright would not lose his self-confidence.

Having just listened to Roger Water's 'Amused To Death', there is no doubt in my mind that had this been a Pink Floyd album it would be rated up there with 'Animals' & 'Wish You Were Here'. I also think this showcases Roger's best ever vocal performance! Defineatly the best album Pink Floyd never made!
