Now this request sets us a dilemma:

1. Whether to burn you a compo and do the artists out of their royalties - which most of us prefer not to do, given the chance..................?

Or

2. To recommend a legitimate, commercially sold compilation - where the record company always do the artists out of their royalties!!!!??????????

 

The former will be done with some love for the genre but no doubt suffer bias. The latter will have been compiled by some backroom boy, normally with no love or understanding of the genre, and of course from what is available in the record company's archives....... And inevitably you'll get get Hawkwind's Silver Machine (always the live edit version) and Curved Air's Backstreet Love - and artists who are not normally associated with prog. (Check out the compilations section in the Archives for examples).
