Only when it comes to music.

This test doesn't adequately predict whether someone is a nerd or not.  I know lots of nerds who don't play dungeons and dragons and I know lots of really cool people who play (yeah right)  I think people who listen to prog are generally more intelligent, type B people who tend to be more "nerdy" although  nerdness is completely subjective. I think some nerdy people are the coolest people and "cool" people are really lame.  We need to think of more nerd tendencies and make a comprehensive test that tests degrees of nerdiness.  I'm lazy so I don't want to come up with the whole test, but I'll contribute some nerd-determining questions that can be used. 

How many hours are spent listening to music vs. how many hours hanging out with friends.  If the ratio is more than 3:1 then I think that qualifies you as a nerd, or a music nerd at least. 

How many hours spent alone in a room with headphones on  or with face stuck between two speakers vs. how many hours spent having sex a week.  If the ratio is more than 5:1 then you are a nerd.

How many friends do you have?

Do people make fun of you at school/work and call you a dork straight to your face?

There are many other great questions that can be used which will give us a realistic picture of how dorky most progarchives members are.  I for one would be interested in finding this out.  Since I'm not a geek though, I can't come up with any questions since it is so hard for me to relate to being geeky.  I'll leave it for the rest of you guys

 
         

The idea of a nerd is a myth. There is no such thing as nerds it is just a label that people us against other people. D&D is just a game and playing has nothing to do with what kind of person you are. There is no such thing as nerds. Just remember that. It is only a cheap label, just like 'cool' and 'redneck'.
