Topic: Radiohead vs. Porcupine Tree Posted: October 27 2005 at 21:14 |
Both bands are great and have been around since the 90's. They both
have got some really amazing songs and really good band members, but
who do you think is better?
I say Porcupine Tree just because I think that they've come further as a band with there music.
Intresting to see where this one goes...

question is were they never 'old' ha hah ha. I say just enjoy the groups and the music.
That said, haven't heard a lot of Radiohead, but LOVE Porcupine Tree so I'll give them my vote.

not another which one is better I usually get more enjoyment from listening to Porcupine Tree than Radiohead, but there are times when a Radiohead song is just what I needed

I never got into Radiohead, so Porcupine Tree for me, although I liked their mid to late 90`s output better than the last two albums, which I could dispense with.. |

Yeah they are. It's the new flurry of topics. The last one was those annoying
"rate my collection" topics. They were fine at first. Until everyone on the
forum put their favorite collection for us to rate (most of which was already
in some of the others and included albums as readily known as CTTE Foxtrot
DSotM ITCOTKC.....)

They are both very good, but their music is completely different. I have listened to Radiohead more, so I voted for them.

Radiohead by far thom yorke is a genius, his lyrics n acoustic stuff are beautiful and jonny greenwood is such an innovative guitarist.

What a silly question... Porcupine Tree of course.
I've seen both bands live. Radiohead put on perhaps a better show (PT's setlist was very In Absentia heavy, which was disappointing), but Porcupine Tree is the better band.

porcupine tree although very progressive, fails to experiment AT THE LEVEL that radioheads later works have taken.

Both are great IMO. However, as stated by others - there is no contest between the two - Porcupine Tree by a mile.
BTW, why all of the comparisions (this band versus that band) recently?

Coldplay it's just a industry product with some remains of Floyd and Radiohead... nothing more...
PT it's far the best in this poll...
