Wakeman, Squire and White are brilliant here. But then you have Judas Iscariot (my favourite Wakeman track) featuring pipe organ and choir. This is definitive RW for me. The one down point is The Breathaliser which somehow is even worsoe than ELP's Benny The Bouncer. Relayer is undoubtedly a masterpiece and I can happily recognise it as such. Taste wise though I still prefer Criminal Record.

Relayer was the album that put me off YES in the mid-1970's as I was too young to appreciate it's finer intricacies back then at the tender age of 16, but I love it now. Thumbs Up

Coming Soon:- Ultimate YES: 8th Album. I wonder who's going to win that one. Tongue

Many of these "great band against their members' solo work" polls are not that interesting, but here we have a very strong pairing with my favourite Yes album against the first Earthworks album, and I love Bruford's Earthworks. I give the vote to Bruford, but in this case the current score of 21:1 may play a role. (Going for the One is a pretty hard opponent, too, for Earthworks' second.)

These polls give me a chance to feature some of the lesser-known solo albums, even if no one's ever likely to vote for them - like Billy Sherwood for instance. Tongue

I have a feeling YES aren't going to win the ninth poll in this series though. Smile

Fair enough, that makes sense.
