As we prepare to leave behind 2023 and look forward to 2024, I can't help but think of musicians I've seen in long ago live performances who are now no longer with us (i.e. R.I.P). Here's my list of those I can think of / am aware of, what's yours (BOTH prog and non-prog)?
Drummers: Neil Peart (4 times), Graeme Edge (3 times), Alan White (5 times), Richie Hayward, Jim Capaldi. Vocalists: Ronnie James Dio (twice), Brad Delp (twice). Guitarists: Stevie Ray Vaughan, Gary Moore, BB King, John Spinks. Bassists: Chris Squire (5 times), John Wetton (3 times), Pete Way, Tony Lewis. Keyboardists: Keith Emerson, T Lavitz, Paul Raymond. Other instruments: Ray Thomas, flute (3 times), Michael Brecker, sax.

Off the top of my head: * Pharoah Sanders * Neil Peart * Bill Rieflin * John Marshall * James MacGaw I would have been able to add Chick Corea and John Goodsall to the list if Covid hadn't come between it ;~;

I'm not a concert guy, honestly.
Yet, I watched Randy Coven, live. In 2001 or so, he came to Turkey with Yngwie J. Malmsteen. The drummer was the awesome John Macaluso. And the singer was the great Mark Boals. Mr. Coven stole the show, though. He was beyond amazing, really. |

Sounds familiar. I could have added David Longdon if Big Big Train's 2020 gig had not been cancelled .
