Terl I actually find quite funny.

Good thread, I'll get back to this later as I really should be on my way to work already.

The Noah Cross type bad guy that holds huge economic or political power and can get away with anything is my favourite kind of bad guy.

Another one is an emotionless killer that has a single-minded purpose of destroying the hero (or something that the hero is protecting). Robert Patrick in Terminator 2 is a prime example.

Not entirely off topic but I only just discovered that modern day actor Danny Huston is the son of the very famous John Huston and half brother of Anjelica. Danny also plays a very good 'baddie' as has done in American Horror Story (2 series) and Yellowstone.

I've never that convinced by Hopkins to be honest (or for that matter Nicholson either in the Shining). They seemed way over the top. I preferred Kevin Spacey's portrayal of a psycho in Seven. That was chilling and beautifully underplayed. Based on current information perhaps it was just too real??!
