  Burt Bacharach with Hal David were far more "progressive" than many artists listed here as such.  their unique orchestration stylings filtered into rock tapestries what many ears didn't notice as advancements in sonic experimentation.  if you were tuned in, they could get you as "high" or "blissful" or "introspective" as the most experimental tunesmith. I have the highest respect for these "old School" hipsters.  I wouldn't be "here" if they hadn't been "there."  thank you.
