Jimmy Page and Lorri Maddox

So it's a pretty well known fact that during Zep's heyday, Jimmi Page had a love affair with a 13 year old girl named Lorri Maddox. This has always confused me a bit. Isn't it considered illegal for a grown up to have sexual relations with underage girls. Correct me if I'm wrong, but couldn't it be considered statutory rape?. Didn't Roman Polanski flee the country for avery much a similar thing?. I'm not here to Judge Jimmy Page, I'm sure pretty much all rock stars, back in the day, did things in their private lives that are less then commendable. I'm just a little suprised that there was never any legal action taken against Jimmy for what was pretty much a serious offence. Or was there?. Could somebody help clarify this up for me?. thanks.

Last year I read the a bit sensational Led Zeppelin biography Hammer of the gods and as I remember Jimmy Page simply got away with it but for sure he has arranged a lot of meetings with her while she was under sixteen! And he was lucky that Georg Bush junior was not yet president..!

I wonder what happened with Lorry Maddox after that? There's 30 years distance...
