Eclectic prog as genre to Musicbrainz

   Hi,

I've opened a request at https://tickets.metabrainz.org/browse/STYLE-2086 to add genre "eclectic prog" to Musicbrainz.

Technically, it doesn't matter if that genre is added or not, at least for me, as I can work my way around it with beets with which I pull and rewrite the genres with.

But the benefit I was thinking would be the overall recognition of prog rock sub-genres in Musicbrainz, and I felt eclectic prog is currently the biggest genre category missing.

So, if you have any pressing reasons for the genre to be added, here's your chance to add your reasoning to the ticket.

Finally, if any site admin is reading this, it would be interesting to know if there's data available from progarchive.com database, what is the breakdown and total amount of genres associated to artists here at progarchives?

My gut feeling is, that there's a lot Tech/Extreme Prog Metal artists, but very little Indo-Prog/Raga Rock bands (which both btw. are established as their genres in Musicbrainz).
