Yes, so sad. The day before his birthday, no less. I posted about his death in the RIP thread, but no one commented on it, so I wondered if perhaps he wasn’t greatly known.

He drummed for so many bands, two of which (Zu and The Locust) are in PA, so I thought his death might have meaning for someone. Maybe I needed to have given him his own thread, but I’ve always preferred the RIP thread.

Regardless, a sad loss that will have affected many, even if not so many within this forum.

Very sorry to hear. The Locust were a formative group for me in my first year of listening to metal, and Zu followed much later. We will remember him.

My first Zu album was Cortar Todo, and Gabe’s drumming is a big part of that album. He wasn’t in Zu for long, but he sure made an impact while he was.
