A review of new album entries indicates that we are getting further and further away from the PA discography policy, specifically in the "Release Information" field.

Here is the "Release Information" section of the discography policy.

4.2 Each album release should be documented in the following format

        disc_type + record_company + label_reference + (release_year + country) + (comment)

            LP Atlantic K40106 (1971 UK)
            7" Decca Records F 12775 (1968 USA)
DVD Angry Penguin PEN1887 (2005 Finland)
            CD  Eclectic HBGB023 (2001 Germany)

4.4 Additional data may be appended against a release in a further set of round brackets after the date/country

CD Elektra 73788 (2003 USA) (remaster)
CD Atlantic 7567-82670-2 (1994 UK) (digitally remastered by George Marino at Sterling Sound)

4.5 No specific restriction on additional data, except that it must be brief and succinct

4.6 Releases should be listed in date order starting with the first release in the band's home country

            LP Atlantic 7244 (1972 UK)
            CD Atlantic 7567-82666-2 (1994 USA)
CD Elektra 73790 (2003 UK)( remaster)

4.7 Words like 're-issue' or 're-release' are superfluous in the basic release data and should not be used

4.8 Vinyl singles should be listed as 7", 10" or 12", with or without -EP as appropriate

            7"
            7"-EP

4.9 Albums of multiple discs should be shown in the following format "3LP" or "2CD" etc except for vinyl singles which should be in the format "2x7""

            2CD Metro Music METRDCD535 (2004 Timbuktu)
            2DVD+CD Classic Artists DVDCASMB002 (2006 USA)
            2LP Charisma CGS101 UK (1974 UK)
            2x7"-EP EMI Parlophone 1234 (1967 UK)

4.10 Descriptive free-format text that details aspects of the album's release(s) may be included, but should not be used to replace the standard data format:

        4.10.1 Details of a DVD's format
4.10.2 Cross-reference to other releases relating to the album
        4.10.3 Information relating to availability

4.11 If there is no data or description in this section then it should contain the phrase "Not available at present, if you can help with the details, please contact the site"

4.12 For free-release downloads a link to the band website where details of the download can be found can be added. Direct linking of the download is not permitted. Links to file-sharing sites are not permitted.

It should be noted that this policy was written in 2011, at a time before digital albums were being accepted for inclusion. Since then, it has been agreed that "Digital Album" may be used for albums exclusively available via download. However, it is still expected that physical media (CD, LP, etc.) follow the format detailed above.

^ What's the problem to add it by yourself? You have all the powers to do this. Smile

By the way, you chose a wrong thread.

^ It's easy.
Go to Scott Johnson on PA.
Then click "add albums":

SCOTT JOHNSON discography

Ordered by release date | Showing ratings (top albums) | Help Progarchives.com to complete the discography and add albums

Then follow the points described in the first post in this thread.
If something goes wrong, we'll correct it.
