So it looks looks there is a new Triumvirat compilation album just out called Ride In The Night: Greatest Hits. What is odd is that the booklet has a double page photo of ELP dab square in the middle of it. I find this to be a very odd choice by the record company to so prominently display, what is in essence, the competition, even if they are regarded as an influence. ![]() ![]() 01 Ride In The Night

Is this an official release? This looks more like the work of someone who wants to make money out of other people's work... Don't think Triumvirat (or their heirs) would include a photo of ELP in best of release.

My thoughts as well, although it appears to be a 2021 Japanese release. That's not to say it's not an unofficial album. I thought that they mostly came from Korea or Russia, but maybe the Japanese do that as well. It appears the band's web site hasn't been updated since 2002, so who knows what's going on.

Nice front cover artwork for sure.
ELP were probably most influential as a band in Japan (and still popular) so commercially it makes sense to make that connection like they did with Ars Nova and Gerard on the Keyboard Triangle album . Keiko and her knitted Tarkus jumper showed a sense of humour at least

Thank you, JD, for bringing this to our attention; I suspect that the issue is unofficial, as the front cover I have seen before in a pressing of a Triumvirat bootleg live cd "Palace Theatre, Providence, RI, 12 October, 1974".
I also doubt that a photo of ELP would be put smack dab in the middle of things if it was a legitimate release. Triumvirat do have a following in Japan, as evidenced by the existence of an online fan club "J'rat", but which has unfortunately been static for quite a while. Looks like someone doesn't know their ELPs from their Triumvirats.
