Mylene Farmer

Is anybody else here a Mylene Farmer fan? Jean and I have been huge fans for years. Her videos are little movies and often very surreal, and her live shows are phenomenal; we have seen a few on YouTube. This woman knows how to make an entrance!

Though her music is mostly not up our alley (with some exceptions) the videos (in which there is occasionally full frontal nudity of her, for example in the "Libertine" video) and live shows are simply phenomenal. She will turn 60 in September but still looks great.

She is little known outside of France, but there she is an absolute superstar.

Yes her videos are always thoughtful and provoking, in phase with her texts & lyrics

I kinfd of lost track of her stuff around the Millenium, though. I understand that her newer stuff is not as strong.

However, her weakness is that in terms of music, she always sounds so samey.

Unless it is a song that I know (a hit, for ex), I wouldn't be able to tell on which albums of hers we're listening.
