Rock bands from Dunfermline are rarer than LGBT fundraisers in Turkmenistan so are deserving of a little of everyone's time. (The Skids were decent but Big Country were more than a little bit sh*t) Anyone who writes a lyric like this from Woke up this Morning clearly undermines the prevailing wisdom that pale white boys can't intuit da blooz ya dig?
Woke up this morning, My dog was dead. Someone disliked him And shot him through the head. Singer Dan McCafferty must have gargled each morning with whisky and razor blades to sound like that. Check out their cover version of This Flight Tonight which bitch slaps the Joni Mitchell original into a mascara smudged corner to which it deserves. Voted for Razamanaz

The only Nazareth album I ever bought was 1982's 2XS, because my local radio station played the opening track, "Love Leads to Madness" A LOT. While it's far from perfect, I still have a sentimental fondness for this album because it reminds me of a time and a scene that have long since vanished.

The only answer is Hair of the Dog. One of the albums from my high school soundtrack. "If this is heaven then I'm in hell" indeed.
