nah i used to post at the maiden forum..but everyone there seems to go on and on about bitching about maiden and cherris black metal bands...and there is no room for proper discussion with metal fans either it is just bashing like YOU SUCK and so genereally mindless flaming on everyone The only thing that is worse is a computer geek forum... |

I belong to yesfans.com but I haven't used it much. Seems nice but I don't want to get addicted to another forum otherwise I'd never get anything done.

i think the place can be quite daunting at first for new users. the people who most actively post in the General Discussion part of the forum are 90% not DT fanboys, and in fact usually have very good and wide music tastes, and you can get some very interesting music discussions, and a lot of fun too. and theres a politics and religion forum for the more intelligent types. www.dreamtheater.net/bb Edited by richeym |

I post at a couple of other forums, but only regularly at one other than here, and it's not exactly a nice place The rest aren't music forums anyway.

the only other general progressive rock forum I know about is the Dutch one, www.dprp.net which is a bit smaller than this one, although it seems to be well laid out.

Music has always been a matter of energy to me. On some nights I believe that a car with the needle on empty can run 50 more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio. Hunter S Thompson

When I want to discuss non-prog related music I go to www.musicianforums.com. A good site but nowhere near my beloved prog archives.
