Pain of Salvation. Hands down, the single greatest progressive band to exist. Ever.
They have the most amazing vocalist ever, who I can say is only rivaled by the likes of Garm, Mercury and Mike Patton.
Pain of Salvation, have probably the most accomplished group of ...
background singers >_> yes. I find that to be very important.
Each member aside from Hermmanson, who we have never heard sing to my
knowledge, are amazing singers.
Each member of the band is very accomplished in their fields of play
(not to say that the Porcupine Tree guys are not) and manage to be so
without w**king off.
Also, the level of expiramentation that was done on BE is just great,
it is probably the single best (modern) orchestrated album ever. Also,
the fact of how well Daniel's lyrics make me actually "feel what he is
penning."
That is one thing I have never gotten from any Porc. Tree album, and as
much as I love both bands, I think that is a major factor in my
decision. How much more I feel Pain of Salvations music than Porcupine
Trees.
