Which 3 albums would make the top of your list in respective genres not prog?
I’d like results per genre. If you like pop, list the top 3 pop albums. If you like country, name 3 of those. Preferably music that’s not proggy or too prog related.I’ve found tons of great prog here, but also music in other genres and I’d be interested to hear what your favorites are and check them out. I get too prog focused at times and would like to expand my horizons. |

I'm a huge fan of 60s psychedelic music. I could name lots of albums, but since you want three only: |

It's going to be difficult, because genre boundaries are not clear, and a good thing that is. Music that tries to be stylistically pure is usually boring. So I will do it in a different way and select three albums that are related to a genre (or, in some cases, are in that genre). And since it is albums, it will have to be musical styles where the album is considered an artistic entity. So: Related to punk 1 The Clash - London Calling 2 Idles - Brutalism 3 Sods (Sort Sol) - Minutes To Go Related to new wave 1 Talking Heads - Fear of Music 2 The Police - Synchronicity 3 Devo - Q: Are We Not Men? A: We Are Devo Related to soul 1 Stevie Wonder - Innervisions 2 Marvin Gaye - What's Going On 3 Otis Redding - Otis Blue Related to folktronica 1 Björk - Post 2 Juana Molina - Wed 21 3 Hedningarna - Trä These are the ones I could think of for now
