Yep, that pretty much describes how i feel about it. The 'buzz' around its release and the concerts felt special at the time...

Just nicely sums up what I feel about it as well.

That was the only tour I ever got to see Floyd. They were really good.
Ultimately bored by endless ecstasy!

That was the final tour. I persuaded my wife to go (she wasn't a fan!) and she finally agreed, even though we had tickets for a Wednesday, which was a work day for both of us, and thus a total pain to get to Earls Court.

I just kept telling her she would love the show. Wednesday 12th October arrives and we make it to the gig. Lights go down, and there's a deep rumbling. Wow, she thinks, that IS impressive. Lights then come back up to show a section of seating has collapsed. After a few minutes of confusion, Harvey Goldsmith comes on stage to tell us the concert is cancelled but is scheduled for what was supposed to be a rest day instead, which of course is a Monday and another work day. After a weekend of grief about going through all the hassle again, we finally get back to Earls Court on the Monday and she's completely blown away. Since then, we must have seen Aussie Floyd 10 times, and they're almost a perfect substitute.

Wow! Yes I remember the seating collapse in the news. I was at Earls Court too, but can't remember which night. That was the first gig that I went to where smoking was banned. Back in the cheap seats where we were, the smell of weed was still strong.
