^ yeah, it's not for me to complain either, but I may have an old fashioned idea of an internet forum as a platform for exchanging ideas. Binary thought doesn't seem to me very constructive for that, but it seems that many enjoy it. So who am i to object/complain to what seems to enjoy others...?
In that sense, I understand Logan's drive to spend time on his messages, which I actually share. Generally, when I want to contribute, I want to contribute something that makes sense, at least to me, and that takes some time (especially in the more "sensitive" subjects).  Even on the "fun" section of the forum I spend more time to be sure to post what I want to post (humour is also something quite delicate...).

Sloooow...

In some cases I have them on the page for hours... even if the day runs out I'll back them up to my drive, (a simple notepad on a folder will do! even if I could certainly use a 'draft' functionality, it is not a big issue either and I like the straightforwardness of the Site).

I wouldn't have imagined, for simple or short posts in a Site or subject like this, how much your first pass can improve with the distance of not much time. Rephrasing some part could make others redundant or having to change words downwards and so.

I like to mend them, think them well, choose the right word. Often I linger on the subject, and listen or re-listen to the contenders (often I keep listening for a week after posting : ) that's the beauty of it; after all, it's not a job!). I enjoy it that way, and it generally pays back.. sometimes I view old posts of mine and think: 'now I would've posted them the same way'.

Anyway, I'm talking about 3 or so paragraphs posts I'm mostly doing now. Last year I think, or the one before, I went with posts way longer, mainly when making recollections / prog-related memories or arguing something... those took a couple of hours straight, but now, if shorter, they're not a continuous task (some are).

One lesson that I learnt rapidly was taking sufficient time to vote or respond, or think twice before disparaging or making too categorical judgments on an album, song, band, etc., in fact, I think I barely do that (if at all); don't wanna regret my posts! Cry LOL for instance, albums that then start to grow some on you, or that you realize are damn good!

Also, I often want to express the 2-3 (or 4-5) ideas that I have on my mind on a certain subject, which frequently make the posts longer than a one liner, for starters.

The English is an added difficulty. Always have to have the Google translator and/or the dictionary at hand on another page, but it's also part of the fun.
