   Historical prog band Alluminogeni have published a new album: Metafisico.
Here the translation of the review by J. J. John, an Italian expert in prog music.

It's a desire for revenge and detachment that moves this new CD of the Alluminogens, METAFISICO. To regain the self and to rise, even at the cost of estrangement from space and time. 
Yes, because, "assuming that our life is truly a mystery", writes the author and drummer Daniele Ostorero in the initial Samsahara of Mr. Jackson, "only then will we find out whether it is right (or nothing) to play the future ruining the present". 
An opening track that makes us think, as well as the remaining nine tracks of the album, each characterized by considerations, precisely "metaphysical", about our being men in an unlimited and unknown reality. 
What if religions, sects and prophets were all advanced technologies to control humanity (Strategy)? What if we were just anonymous numbers in the hands of destiny (Final Contact)? . 
No fear: Galileo is with us. So: forward with desires!, and above all: forward with dreams! Because if men and the centuries are swept away by dust, desires always remain and sprout (Apogee Azimut). 
We therefore answer our own questions as if they were being asked of us by a child, because then we could neither lie to them nor deceive us.  (Magic of a moment)
Of course, the solution would be to grasp that Life Ray that we all have in front of us, but often we do not even see it. 
In this day, texts and concepts that are so intense, conscious and contemporary are heard. 

Musically METAFISICO is an album in no uncertain terms: hard, strident, stern, maybe too much, and never like this time the voice of Patrizio Aluminum is perfect and imperious in its external melodies and concepts.
Meticulously curated the drum parts (and you hear), measured but impeccable the bassist/guitarist of the original 1972 line-up Guido Maccario, and so are the two young guests Alberto Rondano (guitars) and Ludovico Bragante (bass). 

The first two songs were composed about 1972 at the time of SCOLOPENDRA, the others in the period 80-90, and so being a cult band does not surprise some reference to historical rock (Hendrix in Strategia, Led Zeppelin in 4,000 years, and prog a little In person, the overall sound is 100% Alluminogens.  
The mix that, in collaboration with Beppe Crovella (formerly Arts and Crafts), modulates the overall dynamics of the CD so that it seems recorded, depending on the case, in a sophisticated digital study, or in total absence of gravity (Life Ray and Azimut Apogee). 

As usual, the cover art is a bit tight, but still comes with a mini booklet with photos and texts. 
At the moment we do not know if METAFISICO will be the last work of a band that would still have a lot to say and many songs in the drawer, but if it were, it would be the best farewell possible. For now, listen to it, buy it, and let me know.
