Some exciting news: Rick Armstrong... the son of the great Neil Armstrong has officially joined Edison's Children full time. Hoping this means that there will soon be the 4th Epic album from the Pete Trewavas (Marillion/Transatlantic), Eric Blackwood and Henry Rogers (Touchstone) / Lisa Wetton (wife of the beloved John Wetton) based band. Creating their own unique format of "Haunting Prog" which continues to draw rave reviews (just barely under 4 stars (3.91-3.94) for all 3 of their albums according to Prog Archives), it seems that the entire Neil Armstrong family are huge fans of Edison's Children and their sci-fi sound and that Rick Armstrong wanted to become a permanent member. His guitar & bass skills are quite extraordinary as he's trained with Dave Foster of Mr. So and So and the Steve Rothery Band.
Edison's Children did play a sort of non-chalant show Cruise to the Edge last year, playing some notable Marillion songs such as Marillion's Incubus during the late night sessions where all musicians take part. This Edison's Children lineup featured Pete Trewavas, Lisa Wetton and Rick Armstrong (though Eric Blackwood was noticeably absent and his vocals were replaced by David Hussey of XNA). Not sure if that means that Blackwood won't be a part of future Edison's Children releases. Last we heard was that Trewavas & Blackwood had at least 3 albums of unreleased material dating back to 2010 but the only thing released were the singles and B-Sides of Somewhere Between Here and There from the 2011 "In The Last Waking Moments..." sessions.

Either way glad to see they will be hopefully coming back soon as they are definitely up there with my favorites of the past few years
