i ve heard a few of their CD's
and i think they were a single band
where most of the time the CD sucked but they had one ore maybe two good songs on the whole CD
Stormbringer, In Rock, and Machine Head are the only exceptions
in my opinion

how can this mean anything to me?
when i really dont feel a thing at all

Deep Purple is a great band, together with Sabbath and Zeppelin the all time three greats of Hard Rock, the for runners of Metal....but were they PROG?

The argument has been mulled over on several occasions, and truly the one album that really qualifies for Prog stature is Concert for Group and Orchestra.

And then lest not forget Jon Lord's other two ventures into classic Prog "Gemini Suite" and "windows" with eberhard Schroeder.

Most other Puple Albums such as Machine Head, In rock are far greater Musical gifts then the PROG ones...but got to give credit where credit is due.
