Hiya

Hi all,

I've literally only been into Prog Rock for a very short while.  A friend of mine gave me a copy of Spock's Beard - The Light and then a few days later, I bought the first Transatlantic album and I loved them both.  I now have the second Transatlantic album "Bridge Across Forever" and two more Spock's Beard albums; "The Kindness of Strangers" and "Beware of Darkness."  I haven't got round to listening to those yet as I'm still fixated on "The Light'.  Anyhow, it's good to be here and it's great that such a place exists.  If anyone has any further album recommendations, then I'm all ears.

I love Rush!!!!!  My favourite band in fact.  I have everything by them except Hold Your Fire which I thought was an unbelievably awful album   I got rid of it in the end, exchanged it at a local store for Dio live on DVD.

I love Counterparts though critically it got mixed reviews but what do they know anyhow?  Test For Echo is not such a great album for me and Vapor Trails has very muddy production but is growing on me with every listen.  Signals is my favourite album though and then Presto though it's a bit light on the guitar front.  Some great drumming from Neil though and on Scars, Geddy has rarely sounded better.
