I bet tickets are going to be obscenely expensive, but I don't care, I need to see them.

Yep. The news is, that they are doing gigs at NY also.

They only did one London show at the Royal Albert Hall, and I think this will be my only chance to see them, because I don't see Cream returning to the states anytime soon after this.

Actually they did four nights...  I think they mentioned about three shows at NY in the press release?

Me and my friend nearly started getting tickets, flights and hotels to London, but the price had been too high to us. The newer version works very well with slow, bluesy numbers. I heard some unofficial (bad quality) versions of the London show, and I'm looking forward to get the official DVD, as soon as they release it. Jack singed very well, but I couldn't hear much of his bass from crappy bootleg recording. Eric played exeptionally well, with similar sound and style as in the old records. Ginger didn't also play badly, but the loss of agression was most notably heared in his playing. They are old guys, and they have had a rough life! There were some number's in the setlist, which I think they didn't play much live during 60's, like "Pressed Rat and Warthog" and "Badge". "Stormy Monday Blues" was a good addition, and otherwise all songs were Cream titles, so there wasn't any of their solo stuff played in London.

One of my absolute favourites!

I didn't hear any of the bootlegs from that show but I know that it was the first time they played Badge live. Cream is great, best of the British Blues, along with Alvin Lee and Ten Years After. I really hope I can afford tickets, NYC is only a 2 1/2 hour drive from my house, but i'm sure it'll be expensive, guess i'll just have to rob a few 7-11s.
