I've only heard Grave New World and Hero & Herione, and I like H&H best currently!

I like hugely Hero And Heroine, but the song New World something incomparable!

(Hero And Heroine track is one of their 5 best songs!)

I think Grave New World is incredible. It's mystical,
angry, intense, pastoral...

The title track, Benedictus, The Flower and the
Young Man and Queen of Dreams are pretty much
my top four Strawbs tracks, all on the same album.
The world keeps spinning, people keep sinning
And all the rest is just bullsh*t

3.Hero and Heroine

Do 'The Stanley' otherwise I'll thrash you with some rhubarb.

A very difficult choice, but I went for Ghosts. I think it's their most progressive and aggressive album, with a couple of awesome tracks ("Ghosts" and "The life auction").

Hello Andrea.

My vote from Holland:

1) In Concert 73-74 (MELLOTRON!)

2) Grave new world

3) Hero and heroine

Dig that Live in Tokyo 75/Grave new world movie DVD, progheads!

Bursting At The Seams is awesome (although not the most progressive) ...
"Death to Utopia! Death to faith! Death to love! Death to hope?" thunders the 20th century. "Surrender, you pathetic dreamer.”

"No" replies the unhumbled optimist "You are only the present."

Grave New World! No, From the Witchwood! No, Hero and Heroine! No, Ghosts! No,............

Oh hell - they're ALL great. I'll go for Grave New World because it was the first album I ever bought and Benedictus was the track that introduced me to prog.

I have heard only "From The Witchwood" and "All of Our Own Work", so maybe I won't vote for anything yet.

I've heard their 5 albums from the 71'-75' period and Grave New World is definately the best one.
