RIP. I do think, and I've said it here before, one of the better of the bands to come a little later.

A rare progger from my old stomping grounds. Another sad loss. Condolences to family and friends.

Just terrible news... First was Wayne and now Trent of Gardner bros??
Liked very much Magellan, specialy the first 2 albuns and then Impossible Figures, which featured lotīs of Kansas and ELP influences among others. Still shocked... RIP!

Terribly sad news. Trent's Impending Ascension album of 1993 was one of the albums in the early 1990s that got me back into prog. His brother Wayne, also of Magellan, passed away about two years ago. He has released quite a few "online" singles over the last four years on iTunes and elsewhere and was in the middle of making a new Magellan album the last I heard.
I saw the message of his passing on Facebook and recently read that his son will be maintaining the website and his music catalogue for the foreseeable future. I don't know if that new album will ever see the light of day. His son's message can be read here: http://magellansongs.com/captains-final-entry-trent-gardner-memorial-fund/
