I know this my sound like a stupid question, but what websites should I use to keep up to date on the best and newest music ? The genres I'd prefer websites for are Rock,Metal,Prog Rock and Prog Metal. I already have a lot of music and mostly listen to the classics and a few new artists I managed to have stumbled upon by pure luck or other people's recommendations. Any response that can help me would be gladly appreciated. Thank You.

For prog, www.progstreaming.com is a nice place to sample new releases, and the guy behind that site has a similar site where you can stream new metal albums as well, as well as a few other sites catering for other types of music.
The premise of all of those sites is to allow people to stream the music for a limited amount of time, usually 2-8 weeks, with links on the album pages to where these can be bought.

I like to listen to full albums when I'm interested in a new band. YouTube doesn't always have full album versions so I go to Bandcamp. It (Bandcamp) is also a good place to buy CDs from unsigned bands.
I use Discogs if I want to see what other albums a band has and in what order they were released.
As far as finding the new bands, this forum is where I read about them first.
Well PA is full of people who dig the genres you mention. We are a mixed bag of music fans who enjoy everything from prog to punk to metal to jazz to electronica. All you need to do is to ask for recommendations and I promise you you'll get a wide variety of choices. Hell we even have hip hop fans around (myself included).

Thank you for all your response thus far. I am glad to see there are people around here who are willing to help me to expand my musical taste horizons.
