"Mimetophonic Windows" is the new album from the crossover prog project Purple. http://www.purplemusic.org
Three years in the making, this is the most personal album yet from Multi-instrumentalist Dan Hodgson. Encompassing many styles, and realised as four 16-minute evolving instrumental tracks, the music covers many styles from rock to folk, jazz, reggae, ambient and electronica. This is "crossover prog" because it has tunes - it harks back to the 1970s - the good old days of pushing the envelope of rock. Like all of the Purple albums it is free to download and stream through teh project website http://www.purplemusic.org Prog Archives page: http://www.progarchives.com/artist.asp?id=7936 Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/Purpleproject Twitter: @PurpleBMS

I thought this was Deep Purple at first, which would be very exciting. This project, however, sounds very interesting and I will have to check out the downstreams on the website.

The world of sound is certainly capable of infinite variety and, were our sense developed, of infinite extensions. -- George Santayana, "The Sense of Beauty"
