True.
Overall i think it's catchy and the riffs are well written (like always). I wish Flea was more prominent.

^ I don't think that's true.
I've read everywhere else that he's in the band.

^ Well people are a bit overreacting, flea himself declared that he only was there to play some tracks, so it seems really unsure if he is in the band or not.
here is post on twitter: « Woke to find out I'm in a new supergroup. Hahahaha. Played on some tracks a few weeks ago with my friends omar and Cedric for love that all » https://twitter.com/flea333

I heard they're putting out a third song tomorrow! I wonder how many from the album they'll release before the album is out. Maybe the full album? I hate when artists do that, it just seems like they're defeating the purpose of releasing the album, in a way.
Anyway, I like the two songs out pretty well, both very solid. I can tell I'm not going to be into this as TMV and ATDI, but I think it'll be a good album, for sure. I'm mainly just happy to see Cedric and Omar friendly and working together again, their friendship is really great; makes the world a bit brighter. |

- Despite various hints from insiders (including Cedric) that TMV would reform next year, this is not a side project, and may be the successor to TMV, as TMV was to At The Drive-In. - It's basically a Cedric & Omar collaborative project resulting from them making amends after their split. Flea was apparently just brought in to record (like on Deloused). - Omar has said that one of the greatest challenges in the modern music industry is to write music that the masses will like while maintaining musical integrity/being completely true to the music you want to make- both this and Bosnian Rainbows are different avenues of that for him. Basically, they want Antemasque to be big. - They will tour. - The songs as you currently hear them are not the final mix as they will appear on the album- they're rough, because each song is only being finished (mixing wise) a few hours before they're released, they're excited about the project and just want to get stuff out. - Bosnian Rainbows will definitely continue. Zavalaz, we don't know (it's been held up for a long time now- my bet is no). Omar will continue releasing solo records. Everyone's extremely excited by this, by Cedric & Omar working together again (and having lots of fun, going by the videos). It's certainly not as good as Volta, to me, but it sounds great nonetheless. Raw. And apparently many of the other tracks are even better, leaning towards the Volta end of the spectrum a bit more. Expect more projects and things from them in the future, by the sound of it. Hopefully they can work Volta in there too. |

If you check out the bandcamp link again, there's a new song 'People Forget', best and most Volta-esque track yet! Cedric kills it.

Brilliant post. Thank you.
I would cry of happiness if TMV got back together, but if this is the kind of music Cedmar (just made this up k) makes as a quick celebration and trying to be more mainstream - then hell i'm 100% with that. I'm loving this stuff. Bosnian didn't really stick with me. I needed better lyrics. I would kill to see these guys tour, i hope they come to Tampa/St.Pete.

No worries! (And the next Bosnian Rainbows album will be mostly or all in Spanish, so unless you speak Spanish, maybe that'll help.)

Yeah, the new site for the new label (Nadie Sound) isn't working yet, so they've stuck everything back on a temporary bandcamp, but if you buy the current Antemasque tracks now (for like $4), you'll get the full album July 1 (two weeks early than everyone else) for free.

To be clear, the July 1st date is for those who bought the three previously available tracks, for everyone else you'll have to wait until the 15th to buy.

Scratch that, Antemasque has been released on bandcamp and is available for $10.
This is a 35 minute album of 3-minute hit track after hit track, Californian rock, in very stark contrast to Volta. It's not quite down my alley, but they do it very well, and I enjoy it. Providence is a particularly good and interesting track.
