UB40. I had the misfortune of seeing them live back in the eighties with a
friend who loved them. The worst thing about UB40 is that their first
album ("Signing Off") was a very good dub LP, and quite creative, and the
second ("Present Arms") wasn't bad. Then they discovered the way to
make money was with pop reggae crap like "Red Red Wine", with those
horrible nasal vocals, and that's what they've done ever since.
