Once again WXPN out of Philadelphia PA is doing their 70's prog rock marathon again with Dan Reed and BIf Kennedy. However, this year they are hosting the first five hours live at the world cafe in Philly. I plan on attending and hope to see some of you there. Here are more details. http://www.xpn.org/events/highs-in-the-70s-prog-rock-party

I'd like to show up with my Henry Cow and Magma boxsets and receive puzzled looks.

I'm sure there will be people there(including the djs)who are familiar with both bands. I've seen Magma twice. They are hardly an obscure prog band(at least imo). Henry Cow I have heard of ofcourse but am admittedly not very familiar with.

Great, looking forward to hearing them on the show then.

Yep. You don't have to be there in person you can listen on the radio or online. Even though they do stick to the seventies they do go pretty deep.

Yeah, I'd love to hang out at WCL, listening to prog and drinking beer all afternoon, but that might be a tough sell for the missus.  Wink

The Missus: Your honor, I am filing for divorce from my husband.

Judge: On what grounds?

The Missus: He insisted on going to this prog rock party for five hours.

Judge: You're kidding right? You want to divorce him because of that?  Smile

Anyway,  I asked my brother if he wants to go but it looks like I'll be going by myself. Yes, my brother is married also. Sometimes I'm glad to be single. Smile
