As you will all know we've been around for some time, long enough to tell some sorry stories about being hitched to record companies over the past quarter century. As we were writing and starting to record the next album we made the decision to became our own cottage industry and not have to fit in with other peoples' ideas of who we are. We are Pallas and we are who we are - that's where the album title comes from!
There is one thing however that a record company is good for and that's the advance which goes towards the recording budget. This is where you come in:-
As you can hear and see from the campaign video on You Tube:-
Things are sounding good already so we're not asking you to contribute to something that hasn't been started yet, were just needing help in completing the album, releasing it and getting some exciting videos done if we can surpass the initial target.
We have written the songs, we have licenced the artwork, we have started recording and have more than the bare bones of all the tracks, but studio bills have to be paid, the mixdown has to be done and the special edition digibook has to be manufactured!
So like many other bands including Spocks Beard and Marillion we have embarked on a 'Crowd Funding' campaign using the Indiegogo platform.
By contributing to this campaign you can look at it as pre-ordering an album directly from its makers rather than going through a series of middle men. Not only that we have a series of unique special perks, ranging from a secret download track at £2 to record a track with the band at £1,000 and including getting your name or photograph in the digibook artwork.
Click on the link below for full details on the campaign and to see the special campaign video featuring extracts from some of the amazing tracks from wearewhoweare!
The band recorded the rehearsals for the pre-christmas gigs at The Mill Recording Studios in Banchory and it was mixed down by Niall in time to be available as a cd at the gigs.
The set includes some old tracks not played for some years and two brand new tracks from the forthcoming album 'wearewhoweare' appearing here with their working titles which may change over the next few months!
There's fifteen tracks which is an hour and three quarters of music at only £8 for the download, the track list is:-
1 Crown of Thorns 2 Imagination 3 Rat Racing 4 Falling Down 5 (Is This) Your Life* New Track! 6 Shadow of the Sun* New Track! 7 Ghostdancers 8 Blood and Roses 9 Midas Touch 10 Rise and Fall 11 East West 12 March on Atlantis 13 Atlantis 14 Arrive Alive 15 Cut and Run
The download also includes the wearewhoweare trailer video and audio, artwork and artwork for each of the gig posters !

People can change for the better and I hope Pallas have but I'm not trusting this band with any of my money once again without seeing anything in return. Surviving in the prog world is tough but doesn't allow anyone to rob their fans.
