It was my first time seeing them, and Nashville is the closest date to me (5 hour drive), and I got home at 7am, but it was one of the best concerts I've been to.
Most of their set was from Hubardo, and here's a (probably incorrect) setlist:
The Black Stone Vision Adjustment to Another Wavelength Zlida Caosgi The First Matter (Saturn in the Guise of Sadness) Passing the River The Wait of the World Gamma Knife Pitcher of Summer Floodgate
The band sounded excellent: they were ridiculously loud, very tight technically, and it was cool to see the band's characteristic "improvised timing".
They played at an indie venue called The End, and the band all stood around and chatted with people before they played. In particular I talked to Toby and Keith Abrams, and they seemed like really awesome people. Keith was hilarious and was mostly behind the merch table giving away Starbursts and cracking jokes, and Toby's beard is looking brutal.... he seemed really appreciative that we made the drive and I told him how I'd been waiting for years to be able to actually see Kayo Dot. I got a shirt and poster for $10 each, which was nice after having to pay $28 to park in a garage across the street... Anyways, it was an awesome experience, and I can't wait for the next opportunity to see them play.

Sweet!! my drive would be 8 hours to Little Rock AK tonight... not happening. That's awesome that you made the drive out there and had friend(s) to go with though. I wish I could meet Toby

My friend is my girlfriend who I introduced their music to... before I met her I would have laughed if someone told me I'd make a road trip to a Kayo Dot concert with anyone but myself :)
Also the gas money basically drained my checking account...

I'm going on the 18th. YEAH.
I don't believe that 8 pm show time for a second, though. I got burned there before. More like 11 pm.

I take it that you didn't pull the right strings to get Rare Goat to be the opening act.

Philly venue info is outdated. Here is the correct location:
PUHD 10 Nyack Ave Lansdowne, PA 19050
Show is at 8 and I'm not sure if Vaura or Cleric will be there. It's very casual, pay at the door.
