Nice to see King Crimson getting positive press from the Irish media in 1969:

''Nobody realizes that some people expend tremendous energy merely to be normal.''

Great article.  My favourite press quote about Crimso came in 1974 and appears in the booklet accompanying the old best of vinyl, "The Young Person's Guide to King Crimson":

"While Yes are busy marvelling at the wonders of the universe, King Crimson are busy orchestrating it's demise" Evil Smile

Calling the mellotron a soulless instrument is like saying King Crimson was devoid of artistic talent and made up exclusively of musical neophytes.

"Soulless" is probably the one adjective I would never use to describe a mellotron Wink

Thank you, it is pleasing return into times, in which  hardly anybody knows what mellotron is, who typically is using it, or who is some "Bob Fritt"

Real talk, every time that mellotron chord starts at the beginning of Starless, I'm in tears. Cry Like, every time. Such a deep sound from a truly expressive, emotional instrument. Probably the most inherently emotional one in all of prog.

I feel the exact same way about the start of 'In the Wake of Poseidon'.
