Depends on my mood really. Suffice to say that I love everything up to, and including, The Wall - with Ummagumma, Atom Heart Mother and Animals being equally orgasmic. Today though, and all of last month, I'd say More. I think I rated it 4 stars back when i first began to write reviews, but that doesn't mean anything to me really. I love that album, even if I think AHM is a 'better' album......yeah I'm confusing myself a bit here, but 'best' is such a ludicrous connotation applied to music. So I vote for my fave - and for a long time it's been More.

Why is that unpopular Cheesy?
Or wait a minute, I may know the answer to that...... everything commercially viable does seem to get flack on this board.....

That's about the sum of it. Possibly something to do with a chart bound single and to top that kids singing on it! I don't really mind though.
One thing I remember distinctly was that when it came out a very surprised (with himself) John Peel played it on his program. Took me by surprise too.

T'was the very first Floyd album I ever heard. I copied my aunts vinyl onto tape and played it non-stop for something like two years. I still know every word and note to the album. It's part of my subconsciousness by now.
John Peel was great though. The BBC would never again find another 'music man' that integrated the underground into the everyday radio sphere as he did. The Peel Session recordings are another testimony to this man's impeccable taste and vision. I own and love a lot of these.

This is a tough choice...I love a few songs on each of their albums, but it seems there's always something about a song or two that keep them from achieving perfection for me. The one I like best overall would have to be "The Wall" followed by "The Final Cut".

A difficult one. I could have picked Saucerful, Meddle or Dark Side, but today I choose the cow, possibly because Think Floyd started their concert here a few years ago with the fabulous title track. It was magic.

I think DSOTM is the best batch of songs they put together on one lp (though Wish is also excellent)....but personally I like Meddle the best ....it was one of those lp's that became a cult favorite in college.
