Anekdoten recording a new album

I'd hoped the "new website in development, please check back later" message that's been present on their site for the past few months would herald good news and it does indeed.

It'll be a good year if both Anekdoten and Camel release albums (plus seeing the latter live, can't wait!).

Wow, can't believe A Time Of Day was way back in 2007. On the whole, I enjoyed the album. Musically it seemed to be veering towards more popular sounds and bits of it reminded me of The Doors. However, it was marred by having been made too loud.

It'll be interesting to hear the new album and see whether it continues from AToD or marks a bit of a return to their earlier sound(s). I just hope they declare that "The [loudness] war is over"

ETA: just spotted a post from four days ago: AToD has been remastered, hopefully this has undone the damage inflicted upon the original release.

Speaking of which, at what point did Nicklas Berg become Nicklas Barker?  Did he get married or somethin'?

I am not surprised by the news. I suspected they were working on a new album because their website has been facelifted lately.
