Still no match for mine, but it doesn't surprise me really, I wouldn't expect some demented old tart to come up with something these people came up with.

tuxon, IQ is like people convinced they hit a golf ball 300 yards: when it is time to measure the distance, the pretenders are suddenly silent since the actual measurement is 250 yards!
I think IQ is more or less important: it is rather what you realize that is important! Isaac Newton "only" had 130 ; his contribution to science progress is extraordinary. By the way 130 is VERY high and powerful, especially if you use it efficiently, like he did!
By the way, you don't know what is intelligence until you experiment the engineer's job, believe me!

So what does that make Stephen Hawking?
IQ tests measure only one thing accurately, and that's the ability to take IQ tests. The 5 members of IQ would probably get the highest scores, for what it's worth.

The 5 of them together, right 30 p.p.
Shouldn't say that: I like IQ. The band, that is.
Why did they never record an album called Test? Too obvious probably. (They did do a song called Intelligence Quotient, of course)

Which reminds me of an observation I read somewhere recently - when people talk about about David Beckham, they usually say he's a great footballer but a bit thick. Nobody ever says that Stephen Hawking is dead brainy but he's useless at scoring goals. It just goes to show that there's one law for theoretical physicists and another for England football captains.

There are probably plenty of intelligent people who recieved crappy IQ scores, and there are plenty of dipsh1ts who recieved high IQ scores.
Oh, I'm just bitter because I scored a 12.
Just kidding! I've never even taken those tests. I'm 16, for crying out loud.
I suppose it would all depend on how you measure intelligence. Who really knows what true intelligence is, anyway? Humans created the word "intelligent", so people are either smart or stupid based on our standards alone. People who think they know everything probably don't know squat in the big scheme of things. Socrates once said something like "the best knowledge to have is to know that you know nothing".
We may never find out what true "knowledge" is.
