I'm with the majority, this time. You know, those non-American Kansas-lovers .

I'm Malaysian ... got the first five Kansas albums ... like them all very much ... I think early Kansas prog (before the hits like Carry On Wayward Son and Dust In The Wind ... both of which I love) is very underrated ... Livgren is a genius composer

Kansas are probably my fourth major prog love after Rush, Yes and Genesis. And they were probably the first prog band I ever heard (thanks to some friends from New York - in 1978 Ireland to hear music like that was just so far beyond any pop music I'd been exposed to, it letr me reeling - I loved them from minute one)
They didn't make a bad album from 74-80 and made some of the most accessible, hummable prog around (with added time switches, fancy-dan drumming and whizzo keyboards). Can't ask for more than that.
In short, they're cool.

it's not such a bad state (seriously they were the first national band I ever saw in concert at Merriweather Post Pavillion in Columbia Maryland)

I'm American and I think Kansas is alright. They had a couple of good albums early on in their career, but their later stuff is meh.

There's no reason for it, you've gotta go sometime.
I never said I was frightened of dying.
