This sounds as though it might be an interesting project, which I haven't found any reference to on the site in a quick search - despite it apparently being in existence (in an embryonic form, at least) since 2007.  Ermm

From the band's website: http://www.rustfield.net/ (including music player with a couple of album 'samplers'):

"Rustfield was born in 2007 from an "idea in odd tempos" conceived by Davide Ronfetto, composer and professional all-round musician skilled on many instruments like acoustic and electric guitars, double bass, electric bass and keyboards. Davide is immediately joined in the project by Andrea Rampa, an old time "comrade-in-arms" with whom he’s undertaken many musical project along the years. Andrea has attended piano and modern singing classes, but he’s also a songwriter and a rock singer, even though he pretends to be an aerospace engineer. The two musketeers, swiftly rush in the composition of music and lyrics, mastering the ephemeral concept of progressive music by intertwining very different ambiences together, with an unfaltering fast and heavy soul pertaining to heavy metal mixing with electronic music, rhythmical progressive tricks and typical sounds of a more psychedelic nature, never forgetting song’s catchiness.

Rustfield builds up as a project cunningly guided by two heads, Davide and Andrea, and as months and years go by, their hybrid style materializes with the production of two demo CDs, the first one in 2009 and the second one in 2011. With the proposition of bringing their music live on the performing stage, they start looking for valid musicians willing to be at their side in this adventure. In the early months of 2011 the line-up is complete and the band steps its feet on Italian and foreign stages.

However the going really got tough in September 2011. Rustfield finally decide to produce their first album: "Kingdom of rust"! The duo has the honor to record their tracks alongside high-end musicians such as: John Macaluso (HolyHell, ex Y. J. Malmsteen, ex Riot) on drums, Federica De Boni (White skull) on vocals, Douglas R. Docker (Docker’s guild, Area 51, Biloxi) on keyboards, Max Gordiani (ex MaterDea) on drums, Alessandro Spagnuolo (Twins) on bass guitar and double-bass, Luca Spagnuolo (Twins) on electric and classic guitar; the latter two already being precious elements of the live band. Kingdom of rust encompasses every facet of the kaleidoscopic creative inspiration of Rustfield: the powerful heavy metal soul, the evanescent melodies of psychedelic music, complex progressive rhythms and fascinating electronic sounds, all bound together and encapsulated in eleven tracks for more than an hour of music!

Right now (June 2012 update) Rustfield and Andreas Polito have mixed their first album at Rock-Lab studios in Torino, Italy, and mastered it at Masterplant studios by Mike Lind (DIO, Candlemass), Saltsjö-Boo, Sweden. Everything is ready for a label to step in order to invade music stores and performing stages all over the world!"

"Kingdom of rust" is the first studio album released by Rustfield, and it contains the best that the band has composed since its foundation, in 2007, and throughout a period of time that ends with the beginning of the recordings, in September 2011. Rustfield have mastered the concept of "progressive rock/metal" by composing melodies which incorporate various nuances and musical atmospheres; within "Kingdom of Rust" you can find tracks which entwine classic heavy metal with electronic and psychedelic ambiences, acoustic and melodic pieces of work merged with rhythmical joints pertaining to a more progressive style, everything bound altogether for more than 60 minutes of music.

Edit: I originally posted this in 'Prog News, Press Releases' forum, since to me an imminent debut release from a relatively unheard of band is an item of news. However, for some reason, which I don't fully understand at present, it has been moved by the 'powers that be' to General Music Discussions forum. Confused
