Hey guys,
I've brought this up in the shred a couple times but not in the general forums so I thought I would take a moment to share My company, Broken Kings, has been vigilantly working on our game, Castle Conflict 2, for the past few months, and now we are finally bringing it out into the open. It's still in development but it plays now! The team is myself + Sean, who is doing the art, + Josiah, who is doing the audio. We completed online multiplayer and the "initial roster" of 8 units earlier this week. This screenshot is a little old by now but shows the game well enough - you play as the blue castle on the left and tap the unit buttons at the bottom of the screen to summon the unit. You get one gold per second, but your resources really come from the trees that grow in the middle of the screen - one woodcutter (5 gold) can bring back 25 gold if he brings a tree back. Unfortunately, he is defenseless, so there is a whole sub-game going on trying to get the wood + protect your units. Furthermore, you are able to send units to attack your opponent via air to avoid the whole ground battle... The game features online multiplayer, and it will have a campaign map with 20+ castles to fight that will up the unit count to at least 20. Players will be able to pick 8 of these units to bring into battle with them. if you have a new iPad 3, you also get treated to beautiful, Retina graphics - it really does look great. We are currently raising money for the app on IndieGoGo (we tried Kickstarter but you need a US Address to use amazon payments, IndieGoGo uses paypal). A donation of $5 gets you in on the game when it launches (even though the tier list doesn't say that right now, due to a bug I cannot correct this until the IGG guys get back to me). Gazz, I know very little about this gaming stuff....never have played them since there were things called arcades....
