Aereogramme was a Scottish band that did everything from sultry, emotion driven songs to heavy guitar work and tortured vocals to collaborations with ISIS. I'm surprised they're not already listed up here, but I'm thrilled to suggestion their addition. The band had a consistent line-up of four members for the duration of their existence, from '98 to '07, releasing four albums, two official EPs, a collaboration "In The Fishtank" album with post-metal band ISIS, and countless miscellaneous small releases. They showed a strong progression of stylistic evolution and could take listeners through a rollercoaster journey on any album. They are often lumped into the alternate rock and post-rock categories, and if unfairly, the two conflicting genres alone show how they blurred lines and traveled sounds to create a unique modern progressive rock sound.

They have some pretty cool tracks, but the majority of what I listened to seems to have nothing to do with prog.
