(Since Prog Ladies are such a rare and cherished thing...)

Haven't seen 3F8's and FloydWright post in a while. They on holidays? Are there any other Prog Ladies left on the Archives, or have we gotten rid of them all already?

I'm still waiting to find my hot brunette bombshell who enjoys a little SEBTP or TFTO or even a little Hatfield and the North.  Where oh where is she?
I can understand your anger at me, but what did the horse I rode in on ever do to you?

Petra is all too rare on the forum (i think Velv is keeping her to himself)

Have not read much from Shrinking Violet either.

And Lise (Hibou) is also rather absent.

let's just stay above the moral melee
prefer the sink to the gutter
keep our sand-castle virtues
content to be a doer
as well as a thinker,
prefer lifting our pen
rather than un-sheath our sword

Ermm Most women don't seem to last here. I don't want to offend any of the "fairer sex" with this generalization, but females in general seem far less obsessive about computer use (and prog, for that matter) than we males can be.

I can't speak for 3F, but FW tends to post only in the Collaborators' zone -- the (then) prevailing nastiness, immaturity and prog metal bashing (as opposed to simple good-natured teasing) on the main forums got to her.

I can certainly sympathize, though things seem to have much improved of lateThumbs Up, with one or two notable, idiotic exceptions (eg, 4th of July thread Maani bashing).Thumbs Down

So be nice and gentlemanly to our few females, lads -- we need their perspective, and (often) calming, moderating influence here!Stern Smile (Plus, some of these shut-in progholes have never had the opportunity/courage to talk to a real living, breathing woman before!)LOL

If it helps, think of me as a lady...

The person who introduced me to Yes, Jethro Tull, and Rick Wakeman is a woman. Maybe I should try to get her on here... but she's gone to college now, so I probably won't see her for a while.

Too complicated to explain; has to do with the management of this site.

Ha! Thanks Sean, well i'm still very much around and enjoy reading the forums and more so the reviews, but ive been very busy with one thing or another lately so havn't had time to post much, especially as the site has grown so big now.

Now Peter says

..but females in general seem far less obsessive about computer use (and prog, for that matter) than we males can be.

Well try telling that to my family, i think they would disagree!!

Don't hate me
I'm not special like you

Something has come up here too!...I've been floating a bit lately.  Seems I'm in love... I mean deeply in love for the first time in about 25 years... its very scary.. and there are some very large obstacles... but this one is really it.  I feel it.

I'll be around tho... and I'm still going to the UK for Greg's shows in November...

I don't know if I should feel saddened for the fact that someone has roped in such a free spirit or happy that you finally found someone compatible.

I'm happy if you're happy TF.

Thanks Greg... I'm happy when he's here.. and not happy when he isn't .. so its a toss up!  But we're trying to overcome those obstacles... and thank god he's a huge Floyd fan.... oh and his other favorite bands are Porcupine Tree and Marillion... so I'm doing great while slowly feeding him the ELP.
