Topic: I知 gonna miss you guys :( Posted: July 13 2005 at 15:52 |
I haven't really talked to many of you about this in private... I was
kinda hoping it would all work out, that my schedule wouldn't keep me
away from Progarchives and stuff...
...tomorrow's my first day of "school", I'm getting up at 5 AM to drive
across the state to attend all-day classes for the next month. I'll be
making that drive, both ways, every day. So during the week, I'll
likely not have time to be on.... between school and driving and
sleep, there's not much free time... maybe on the weekends I can come
by a bit. But once the month as up, the fruits of my labors will be
rewarded. I'll have my CDL, and start my new career as a commercial
truck driver. Yeah, glamarous. I'll be driving cross-country, probably not seeing my own bed but once every week or two, much less a computer.
So until something changes, I'll be gone for the most part.
I've made so many good friends, and had so many great discussions...
keeping ProgArchives in my internet rotation has been such a part of me
for so long... I'm gonna miss all of ya, even the ones I argue with on
a regular basis. It was all in fun.
Goodbye, everyone... I'll try to drop by when I've got some time...
PS: Posted in Prog Music Lounge so I can get an off-topic thread moved one last time, for old time's sake...

WHAT!?! LEAVING?!!? Now hold on one second there, buster! Ever since
I've been coming to this forum, I've always enjoyed you're posts the
best! We have very similiar views when it comes to music and what kind
of bands we prefer, even though I haven't said anything to you
personally hehe.
But anyways, good luck with the school and the job and the like, just make sure to keep proggin!

Nothing wrong with driving a truck. Beats the heck out of what I do. I'm a teacher which is nothing more than babysitting a bunch of dumbass kids .....tis, the truth for the most part.
I know a guy that drives a truck and makes about 13K more than me....and I've worked my butt off to get a master's degree....tain't worth it in terms of money..
That's why I own a skating rink on the side. I guess I need to play some prog one Friday night to see how the kids would like it.....King Crimson any one?
Maybe they'd like Pink Floyd....

Good luck with all your future ventures
And if i ever hear a truck go by here blasting "The Flower Kings" at the highest possible volume, I'll assume it's you.
And will wave.
Even though you tricked me that once, you'll still be missed. Come back when ya can.

Take care MO...I know you haven't had much success at making cash so I hope this venture works out.
I guess I'll have the stigma of being the only gay male on this site again.

Ah, don't be down... every prog-listening male's got a bit of gay in him!
...I think it's Rick Wakeman who does it.

gdub, I cannot believe you are alone in this regard ... maybe "openly" is the crucial word here
