What do you think about the controversial albums such as Tangerine Dream's Cyclone, or Yes' Tales from Topographic Oceans? You are most welcome to spread out your opinions about other controversial albums as well. As for me, I am a huge fan of both albums! I regret I voted Cyclone 4 star! (review by black). I do think it's TD's top achievement (along with non-controversial Force Majeure, of course!)
Listen to Turkish psych/prog; you won't regret:
Baris Manco,Erkin Koray,Cem Karaca,Mogollar,3 Hürel,Selda,Edip Akbayram,Fikret Kizilok,Ersen (and Dadaslar) (but stick with the '70's, and 'early 80's!)

I Think Tales is one of the most underrated albums is prog, people don;t like it because it is complicated for them. Personally I love it.

I totally agree with that, like it or not, it is one of the best Progressive double albums ever made!

I love both of those albums! I even like Steve Jolliffe's vocals in a sick way.

I hate to say it, but I haven't yet heard Cyclone.  But I love Tales From Topographic Oceans.  It took a while to appreciate all of it, but once I had

Tales isn't particularly "complicated."  It's basically an unfocused mess that every member save for Jon Anderson has disowned.  It's Yes' worst album of the '70s, IMO.

What´s so controversial about "Tales"?. It´s very vlear to me. The whole album is a waste of plastic. Save the natural resources. Do not spend them on useless music.

Just kidding ¡¡. You know?, there are some very enjoyable parts on that double album. There really are. The problem is that YES never knew when to quit. They always had a good idea, some very nice vocal melodies and musical good ideas, but then always made the mistake of extending the songs unnecesarily and unjustified. That was something very common since their first albums.

These 20 minute songs may have some good moments but end up loosing direction and proportion. They should have made an album with these 4 song edited for 8 minutes each and write some nice pop as in "YES" and "Time and a word".

Honestly, I´ve never heard the other album

I really dont understand why people says that TFTO is too long and have unnecessary parts. What's the joke! It's one of the most beautifull and complicated album I've ever heard. Personnaly my favourite fromYes with RELAYER!
